Scoring the best single day total for a non-sequel on Friday ($68.5 million), The Hunger Games is expected to equal that record for the weekend with a total haul of somewhere north of $150 million. This would also be the highest March opening ever. All signs point to The Hunger Games phenomena being bigger than The Twilight Saga, perhaps even bigger than Harry Potter.
