THE WOLFMAN: Director’s Cut Improves It!

Or at least that’s what our pals at Blood Disgusting tell us:

If you skipped the film in theaters (and it seems a lot of you did), then you’re lucking out with this release, as it’s the superior version of a flawed film, but unlike me, you won’t have to watch the stuff you didn’t like the first time all over again. The extras are all quite good, and the transfer is immaculate – it’s just a shame the film itself shows the scars of its lengthy battle to get there.

Here’s a real treat.  Five clips of video goodness from The Wolfman, including a sequence featuring the beginning of a transformation.  Enjoy!

Despite the mistreatment from the studio, and Internet carping, we think the movie looks like a lot of fun.  C’mon, it’s a wolfman movie!  We don’t get many of those.

Soundtracks: Elfman Replaced on WOLFMAN

ElfmanNoWolfMan
According to Cinemusic, due to scheduling conflicts, Danny Elfman has left The Wolfman.   Elfman has been replaced by Paul Haslinger.   Haslinger is familar to genre fans for his work on Crank, Underworld, Death Race, and Vacancy.

This will leave Elfman fans with a “lost score”.  Because Elfman has already completely a lot of music for the film.  And none of it will be included in the final film.
