Neil Marshall (The Descent) has just signed to direct an episode of the popular HBO fantasy series “Game of Thrones”! Marshall personally sought out the job. He’s a fan of the books and the HBO adaptation. And how could he not be? Both are brilliant!
We’ve long been fans of stopitsgingertime, the YouTube channel featuring a High School girl’s songs about “Doctor Who” and other genre television shows. We highlighted one of her songs here. Well, now she’s got a much bigger fan than us to champion her cause. Although not terrible, the ratings for HBO’s “Game of Thrones” were lower than expected. They landed 2.2 million viewers for its Sunday premiere and 1.2 for its encore showing. A show this well done will find an audience.
