New Face on Mars!


We all remember the infamous “face on Mars” photo that was all the rage in the nineties.  Well, thanks to Mars rover “Curiousity” we may have one to rival it.

The above image is a composite made from the photo below taken by Curiousity on the Martina surface:


In this photo, you can see what looks like the head of a statue, lying on its side in the sand.  We simply created a mirror image of the photo above and blended the two together, creating an entire face from the half face in the photo above.  We think the end results are quite impressive.  Sure, this may all be a trick of the light and the human brains strong ability to discern faces.  Even when they’re not there.  ro it could be something much, much more exciting.  You decide.
