FARSCAPE Star Joins ARROW!
CW’s “Arrow” has filled its cast with some sci-fi favorites. Colin Salmon from “Doctor Who”. John Barrowman from “Doctor Who” and “Torchwood”. And now Ben Browder from “Farscape” and “Stargate: SG-1”. Learn more about Browder’s role on the series after the jump.
Browder will make his first appearance in the 11th episode of the season, entitled “Trust But Verify”. He plays a character named “Ted Gaynor”. In the the DC Comics Universe, Gaynor originally appeared in “Blackhawk” comics in the eighties. He briefly served on the team. But proved too belligerent to last.
In 2010, he appeared once again in the DCU. This time as an associate of the villain “Killer Shark”. He was eventually stopped by Blackhawk, Lady Blackhawk and Batman. He died in a fight with Blackhawk.
In “Arrow”, Gaynor will be the former commanding officer of Diggle who now works for the Blackhawk Protection Squad. A private security firm operating in Starling City. Diggle encounters Gaynor again, while he and Ollie are investigating a series of armored car robberies. There’s still an undercurrent of animosity between then, dating back to their time together in Afghanistan.
