The Internet was abuzz and aghast this week when news circulated about a remake of the Ridley Scott horror, sci-fi classic Alien.
The Collider, in an interview this Tony Scott, confirmed a new Alien film is in the pipeline but it will be a prequel/reboot and not a remake. As reported earlier, the film will be directed by Carl Rinsch; a director who works for Scott Free, Ridley and Tony Scott’s company. And Tony Scott suggested that film will go into production later this year.
This news may tamp down some of the fires that thoughts of a remake ignited within the sci-fi community, but we doubt it will put out.
