“The Lady was a Tiger” originally aired on “The CBS Radio Mystery Theater” on February 5, 1974.

This show begins with a local news broadcast from 1974.  We left it in because we found it of historic interest.  However, it you’re not interested, the show proper starts at around the 6:30 mark.

Today we offer one of the classics of old time radio:  “Three Skeleton Key”.   Yup, this is the one with the lighthouse and … the rats … legions upon legions of rats!  This story was done numerous times.  This version of the story aired on October 18, 1958.

Another chilling bit of old time radio.  This time from the series “Suspense” with an episode called “Drive-In”.  It comes from a period in the show’s history when it featured stars, stars and more stars.  So this story, which had originally been produced the year before with Nancy Kelly, now stars Judy Garland.


Garland’s excellent in the role.  But, as with all episodes of “Suspense”, it’s the story that’s the real star.
