From UFO Examiner:
The following report is unedited.
June 3, 2009 – Hayden, Idaho
There was not a cloud in the sky. While we were out back smoking and watching the sky I noticed what appeared to be 2 shooting stars flying parallel each other. They were about a pencil length apart from one another and originated about 60-65 degrees from the West by NorthWest horizon.
These 2 shooting star like objects then began to change course and bank to the north while morphing into these iridescent glowing reddish orange boomerang like objects. They appeared to be getting larger as they moved away and then were gone just as fast as they appeared. They had a very strange misty sort of aura to them. I checked the time it was 11:25 PM.
My heart was racing as I was trying to point them out to my girlfriend who completely missed it. When I was describing it to Amanda I used the term “angelic” in describing how they appeared. These looked very similar to a sort of manta ray shape or dove like shape.
Now 15 minutes later we were both watching the same area of the sky when two more of these objects zoomed directly over head from west to east. This time the two objects were much closer to one another and again flew in parallel but they then flew apart from one another and back toward each other as if to trace a vase sort of patter and when they came back together they banked north and disappeared into the sky.
7 minutes later now at 11:50 SIX more of these objects just popped out of nowhere right above us. They were in a very tight single file formation but flying in a snaking manner across the sky. Again all these objects were the same shape but to define the colors was difficult as it was like watching a star in space flicker different shades of red, orange, and tan. As they flew across the sky they made a final “S” curve and appeared to collapse onto one another before disappearing.
At this point we are so shook up that we are running around like kids in the house tearing things apart trying to dig out blankets and pillows and cameras and flashlights to go and wait for them to come back.
Amanda went to bet at about 1 am but I could not sleep and waited all night for them.
At about 2:15 NINE more of these objects just popped into my view moving from the south to the north right along highway 95. They were in a triangle formation and the inside objects appeared to be fluttering or vibrating and had a sort of electric quality to them.
Approximately 3am One last object flying much higher, slower appeared from the south horizon. This object seemed to be darker and broader shaped then the others and it went from the south horizon to the north, the same path as the 9 in triangle formation.
I had my camera in hand on the last sighting and was recording when it went over head but nothing turned out at all. My reaction was complete and total AWE and bewilderment.
I will probably never be without a camera again and I intend on staying outside until I see them again.
I filed reports with MUFON and NUFORC as well as with my local papers and news agencies. I called the airport but no other reports of this sighting were called in.
