Great actor. Great Doctor. After the jump, a few of the better tribute videos to the 9th Doctor!
Released to the ‘net about a week ago, this video was created for Doctor Who’s 2009 wrap party. It’s a lot of fun.
We’ve been a bit underwhelmed by series six of “Doctor Who”. But the moment below is one of favorites in this or any other year. It even inspired us to do the photoshoppery above inspired by this poster. But none of this will make sense to you until you watch the following:
Once again, Amy Pond is central to our favorite scene. That surprises us a bit. Did you have a different favorite scene? Tell us about it in the comments section.
We’re so excited about this! It really isn’t spring till the Doctor makes his visit. And this season (or “series” as the Brits say) looks especially exciting: Clowns, cowboy hats and ventriloquist dummies … yee-haw! looks like quite a ride.
Here’s the first part of the “Doctor Who” Comic Relief special. More wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff.
Part 2, featuring a special moment between Amy Pond and, well, Amy Pond.
The BBC announced today that the season six two-part opener will be set and partly filmed in the United States. As for the story. This is what the Beeb had to offer:
[It's] set in the late ’60s in which the Doctor, Amy and Rory find themselves on a secret summons that takes them on an adventure from the desert in Utah – right to the Oval Office itself.
Hmmm … oval office, late sixties. Is the Doctor gonna meet LBJ? Or if it’s ’69 he could meet Nixon. The Doctor meeting Nixon. There’s a clash we’d love to see!
… of course every Doctor Who fan will be jumping up and down and saying he’s been in America before. But not for real, not on location – and not with a story like this one! Oh, you wait!
We will wait. Even if we don’t wanna.
A Dalek has been discovered in the West Exe Learning Centre in Exeter, England. The Dalek is a full sized replica, standing about 5′ tall. Like the actual props, an individual can side inside this replica and control it.
The officials at the school have no idea where the dalek came from, and are seeking its owners:
Anyone who can help police with their inquiries is asked to contact Det Con Prince at Exeter burglary team on 08452 777444.
Wonder how many false claims of ownership they will receive?
We bet many fans wish Steven Moffat would collect this one to replace the widely panned “new daleks“.
