Okay, so she isn’t in costume this time. But, at least, she’s kicking ass. Take that!
And that!
And how ’bout a little of this! Let us tell you, you’ve never been smacked down, until you’ve been smacked down by a Vassar girl. Trust us, we know!

We can hear every geek on Internet collectively screech: “Dump the texture.” And we have to agree. It’s a Superman costume, not an imitation alligator bag.
The classic Supes costume is a thing of beauty. Duplicate it, don’t improve on it. Because you can’t, Mr. H’wood Costume Designer. It took decades and hordes of artists to get it to its iconic splendor. Honor that. Respect that. Heck, use it! It’s sold everything from pajamas to peanut butter. And, if you honor it, it will sell your movie too!
Here’s the cover for Superman #1 by Georges Perez. We must say we aren’t crazy about the costume changes. (Jim Lee was responsible for the redesign.) Superman’s costume is iconic. Leave it alone. Some have suggested these costume changes are a way to get around the court decision in DC’s case with Siegel and Shuster estates. We don’t think so. The changes we need to be more significant.
Superboy and Supergirl after the jump …
Directly from EW, here’s the first still of Adrianne Palicki in costume as TV’s next Wonder Woman! We think the costume looks okay. Prefer the upper part to the lower. And we’re not crazy about the bracelets. Look a little plastic and chintzy. So … generally … meh. We’re not thrilled. We’re not depressed. So what do you think of the costume? And do you think our use of the phrase “upper part” was sufficiently euphemistic?
Nope, this isn’t a photo from the movie. These images show the prototype for the movie tie-in Halloween costume. And it gives us a pretty good idea what the effect will look like. And we can definitely see Hugo Weaving coming through in that face.
So we weren’t too keen on the photo revealing Cap’s costume. That Reb Brownesque atrocity. But the Red Skull design is much more to our liking. This movie might be saved by its villian.
This (above) is Chris Evans in his Captain America costume in the upcoming Captain American film. Ugh … color us unimpressed. The whole thing feels just too, too Reb Brown. Don’t remember Reb Brown?
That’s Reb Brown (above). Not enough for you? Check out the thrilling ::cough:: video after the jump …
Fans are eagerly awaiting the unveiling of the costume for the latest Doctor Who Matt Smith. The current rumor is that he will be wearing a hoodie under an overcoat.
Fans are already whining that this sounds a bit too much Damon and Affleck’s angels in the Kevin Smith film Dogma:
Like most Doctor Who rumors this one is probably spurious. But we should know soon enough. Shooting on series 5 is schedule to start some time in the next ten days.
