“American Horror Story” Scares Away the Competition!

“American Horror Story” had another banner ratings night.  Leading all cable broadcasts Wednesday and scoring a series high 1.7 rating.  Good news for all involved.  This is a truly thrilling new series and deserve all the attention that it’s getting.

“American Horror Story” had a slight drop of two-one-tenths from a 1.6 to a 1.4 with the 18-49 demo.  It also dropped from the top spot for the night to the second spot.  Nothing to brood about though.  These are very strong ratings for a cable show.

The premiere of the FX channel’s new drama “American Horror Story” scored the top spot for cable shows on Wednesday, earning a 1.6 rating with the crucial 18-49 demo.  A clear sign that the show’s inventive advertising campaign worked.  The weeks ahead will tell us if the show itself can keep their attention.

Video: Sneak Peak at “American Horror Story”

Today the FX network released three promo clips for “American Horror Story”.  Each one more enigmatic than the next.

The show is the brainchild of “Glee” creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Fulchuk.  The exact plot of the series is being kept under tight wraps.  But it apparently revolves around a couple (Dylan McDermott and Connie Britton) who move to a small town in an attempting to rebuild their lives after a miscarriage.   But best laid plans and that … because the house turns out to be haunted.   Don’t you hate it when that happens?
