In honor of President’s Day, here’s a thrilling audio drama involving a man who would one day become president.  A drama that claims:


“It’s Murder, Mr. Lincoln” originally aired on the “CBS Mystery Theater” on March 18, 1975.  However, this version was created later for rebroadcast.  The main content of the program is the same.  But E.G. Marshall’s hosting sections are replaced by identical ones done by series creator Himan Brown.  The graphic above features an etching of Abraham Lincoln’s law office in Springfield, Illinois.

“Flying Saucers” originally aired on “Dangerous Assignment” on April 17, 1950.    This is one of the shows from the early fifties that had both radio and television versions airing at the same time, and featuring the same cast.  The TV series was somewhat obscure, and hard to find.  But now, thanks to Hulu, the series can be watched for free.  The television series only had a single 39 episode season.  Hulu has made all the episodes available.  The radio series ran for three years.  About 90 episodes have survived.  But series star the always reliable Brian Donlevy.

“Lost Dog” originally aired on “CBS Radio Mystery Theater” on January 9, 1974.   It stars Kim Hunter and a very young Mandy Patinkin.  This was only the fourth episode of the series to air.

JLA Script Scrapped Because “It’s Terrible”!

In honor of Memorial Day, here’s an adaptation of Michael Shaara’s science fiction ode to the average soldier.  This originally aired on the radio series “X Minus One” on October 17, 1956.    Author Michael Shaara is probably best known for his Pulitzer Prize winning novel about the Battle of Gettysburg The Killer Angels.  His name has also been lent to an award honoring the best in Civil War fiction.

Eli Roth to Direct Horror Series for Netflix!

It was announced today that horror fan favorite director Eli Roth will be taking the reigns as director and executive producer for new horror series “Hemlock Grove”.  The series is being made exclusively for Netflix.  It’s based on a book Brian McGreevy who will also be scripting the series.
