GHOSTBUSTER 3 to Shoot This Summer!

So it really does look like Ghostbusters 3 is going to become a reality!  Harold Ramis had this to say to Heeb Magazine:

Something’s going to happen. Dan [Aykroyd] did write a spec GB3 screenplay a few years ago, but no one was motivated to pursue it. Now, 25 years after the original, there seems to be some willingness to proceed and apparently a substantial public appetite for a sequel. We’ll introduce some new young Ghostbusters, and all the old guys will be in it, too. Think Christopher Lloyd in Back to the Future … GB3 is progressing with plans to shoot next summer and release in 2011 …

Hmm … wonder if they’ll be shooting in NYC?

Katz Launches GeekWeek!

Hollywood producer Jeff Katz has launch a new full service geek news site called “GeekWeek”.  Katz describes the site this way:

I believe that all of hardcore fandom – from comic books to sports – comes from basically the same place. None of these things are mutually exclusive. All of us ultimately have diverse and unique geek tastes … GeekWeek will be a place that scratches all of those itches and – best of all – will soon be fully customizable to your personal taste. Love movies but don’t like wrestling/MMA? No problem. Love comics, videogames and sports but hate movies? You’ll be able to edit that too.

Hmmm … another geek website … should we be worried?
